The Processing Plant owned by JAAK sp. z o.o. is located 54 km from Lublin, in the Lublin Province, 12 km south-west of the town of Opole Lubelskie in the village of Zadole , at the address Zadole 50. The history of the company goes back to 1994, when a civil partnership was established by four partners, who continue to manage the company at present.
Soon after the partnership was established, JAAK purchased the real property – the raw material purchasing base - from “Powiśle” Horticultural Cooperative in Opole Lubelskie. After upgrading of the existing buildings a new, modern processing plant was created specialising in chilling and freezing berry fruits such as raspberries, strawberries and stone fruits. The manufacturing plant is situated in the centre of the largest raspberry plantations in Poland, which provided excellent conditions for processing activity. We established direct contacts with the manufacturers of high quality raw materials. This cooperation has involved concluding long term contracting agreements, organising training courses by the best specialists in the cultivation of soft fruit in compliance with the requirements for the integrated horticultural production and the Global G.A.P. system. Both the company operation and the manufacturers’ activity constitute one consolidated programme focussed on the improvement of manufacturing methods at all production stages in compliance with the standards and regulations in force in the European Union. In 2004 we made further investments in the infrastructure and technological processes. Moreover, new facilities for the personnel were provided. The HACCP system was implemented and then the BRC system in 2009.
During its operation “JAAK” has continued to acquire new markets for its products. At the initial stage, when the product was fresh fruit, the customers were mainly from Russia, Finland and the Czech Republic. After introducing cooling and then freezing technologies for soft fruit, our products have customers all over the European Union and in non-EU member states. Due to the continuous growth of our production capacities, we are open to any new commercial cooperation.
